A group consists of a small collection of people who interact with each other. To examine these goals groups provide people we look at three different types of groups and the functions they serve.
The first type of group is learning groups. A learning group is a collection of people in an educational context who share common values and beliefs. They are actively engaged in learning together and from each other. Within learning groups there are different types of learning groups. For example, Bible study groups, language courses, and even chess clubs are part of these learning groups. Whatever the setting or subject is the main purpose is to increase the knowledge or skill of each member.
The next type of groups is a problem-solving group. Problem-solving groups have a crucial role in the continuous improvement process. First by solving the problems of the past correctly and permanently, and second in creating solutions that are strong and that are adaptable to the certainty of even more change in the future. For instance a neighborhood watch, where neighbors organize themselves to prevent crime.
The last type of group is a growth group. Growth groups focus on teaching the members more about themselves. Group therapy, counseling, and marriage counseling workshops are all types of growth groups. For example, alcoholics anonymous are a growth group that helps group members to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. The entire purpose of the group is to help the members identify and deal with their personal problems.
In conclusion, people desire a type of group in their life. Without learning, problem solving, and growth groups the amount of knowledge and identity people could have gained from these groups would be gone. I know for me the best way I learn is
