Group Discussion Evluation

The group discussion for the online forum was good, and everyone has finished their part of the work. We allocate different topics of communication, based on our knowledge and expertise. However, I think our group could do better than what we did. Our group have been a little bit inactive as each student might have different academic goals, some of them just want to pass this paper while others hope for an A.
There are many advantages and disadvantages of working in a group. For the positive side, a student who works in a group can improve their communication skill and increased individual achievement. Collaborating with others will help students to identify more about themselves. For example, some students might be a better leader than a listener, or they might be might be good at coming up with the big ideas but not so good at putting them into action. However, there are also some negative things when it comes to group work. It can be frustrating when a group cannot communicate well. For example, some students take on controlling roles that can turn off others, whereas other students sit back and frustrate cohorts who want them to participate actively. Also, when a wide variety of students start to work in a group, disagreement is sure to arise between some of the students in the group.
I think there is no leader in our group and the division of labour was clear at the beginning, as we were all doing a different topic. We don't need to discuss ideas and make decisions together so it helps to avoid arguments and conflict. I didn't find any difficulties in this group's online discussion forum.
There are many differences between working with one person than working with six or seven. It will take much longer to make a decision in a big team.
