Dear, Barack Obama

Mr. Obama I feel that your campaign trail is going upward. We are currently winning the election and with a few more key states we would’ve successfully won the nomination for the democratic presidential candidate. Our strong points in the election, so far has been our ability to win all of the caucuses. While a huge obstacle as been our unability to win the primary states like California, Pennsylavania, and Ohio, but we have won Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia. Most of the primaries and caucuses have come down to the wire and the upcoming primaries are expected to be the same, especially since the delegate counts are so close. Right now the delegate count is 1,724 to 1,589 with 2,025 needed to win.

The Obama campaign is recognized for attracting the younger voters, most college students, African Americans, adults forty-five and under. On the other hand Hillary Clinton is attracting mostly the older groups of people, the working class, and most females. To capture these very important votes I think we need to focus on the key issues of the country like; Iraq, Iran, abortion, taxes and same-sex marriage.

The primaries that are coming up are very crucial to the winning of the Obama Campaign, because both candidates are nearing the 2,025 needed delegate votes. Indiana North Carolina and Puerto Rico may be the turning point in the presidential election. Indiana and North Carolina’s primary will be held May 6 with 182 pledged delegates at stake. Puerto Rico’s is June 1 with 55 delegates at stake. I think at this point our main focus should be May 6th, because two win will put the democratic nomination to rest. Current polls call Indiana a dead heat, while North Carolina in which 21.7 of the total population are African Americans, should easily favor to Obama considering the fact that he easily won South Carolina.
