1. lHD financial performance shows that they have been doing this for a while and know how to sell bikes so they can make money each year. Each year their profits go up and they sell more bike. By listening to their customer they understand what they need to make and offer after market parts to make bikes one of a kind so people want them. Also each year to be able to produce more bikes and keep the operating cost down is a feat and not having it sky rocket through the roof. They have the right people to make things better each year.

a. They are starting to hit a plateau where they are making a little more each year but not jumping up in the millions. There became such a huge industry for the motorcycles that it had to level out sometimes. I believe they have a strong enough customer base that as the years go they will survive and still make bikes as others will fade.
b. As for the next 5 years like I said before I believe others will fail and HD will still be making bike strong and improving there number and making top quality bikes. Also they will be able to cut down on manufacturing prices and make bike more affordable to others who could not afford them before.
3. HD customer base is everyone. HD has such a huge reputation that it seems everyone wants a bike. But really middle age men with a steady income who saw rebels when they were young and want to imitate that same image on the weekend but still be blue collared citizen.
b. HD primary market and dieing. Also they are retiring and realizing they can't afford a new bike and do something else.
c. Sales over the next couple of years will still be strong but questionable. But I do see the next generation of kids entering the work force and remembering their dad or grandpa riding a HD and they want to imulate their role model so they will purchase one. That's the next market they need to attack.
d. Advertising ideas of little kids watching or going for a ride with there dad or grandpa will get it imbedded in kids heads they want to save those memories and make them believe they will be saved if they own a Harley like their dad or g-pa did. Its all about getting that next generation to remember the good times there dad and elders had on one and they to should make memories on a HD
4. HD's lack of popularity in Europe is due to the fad over there everyone wants fast sleek bikes. Harleys are slow off the get and fat and squaty. Where all the kids over there want fast now and sleek looking. In the US kids want choppers from OCC or West Coast. Harley are not the cool thing but what kids don't
