Hey James,
Good hearing from you again. I can understand why you are so stressed you have a lot going on right know. I think you have taken the first step of recognizing you are stressed. First, you should try identifying your stressor and removing it from your life. From what you told me in your message I think we have already identified your stressors. The problem is we are not going to be able to remove your stressors since they are a part of your everyday life. A good way to help reduce the stress you are feeling is good time management. I think you should start by trying to identify your time killers. A good technique to identify these is start keeping a 4 to 5 day log of your daily activities in half-hour intervals. At the end of each day you should be able to find out where you are wasting time. Next, you need to set some goals. A good idea is to sit down and rank your goals for the day and week in order of importance. This is a good way to make sure you don’t forget anything you need to accomplish and it can also be a time saver by making sure you are spending your time on things of importance. It would be a good idea to take 10 minutes each night to see how well you accomplished your goals each day. I think you would also benefit from delegating activities. Little David is almost nine years old now, maybe he could start to help with the chores around the house so you could have more time for studying. I think you try to be everything to everybody and you need to just relax and let people help you out every once in a while. Since you are a single parent you would benefit if you would plan ahead for disruptions. Try not to put things off to the last minute; you never know when an emergency might pop up. I think if you would just sit down and focus on completing your school work all at one time you would be better served.
