1. Harley Davidson had difficulties to achieve its global growth thru dimensions of cultural differences from its beginning. They had opened dealership through the world to break some of the barriers of cultures differences around the globe. The weakness was the nation's sole motorcycle manufacturer; the company was on the brink of bankruptcy, facing a declining market, poor product perception and heavy competition from Japan. Through aggressive actions in product development, manufacturing and marketing, the company made significant improvements and was gaining recognition. With innovations they demonstrated that the new commitment to quality was initiated. The main factor that helped Harley Davidson overcome the cultural differences was the formation of Harley Owners Group®, referred to as H.O.G. ®, the Group immediately becomes the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle club in the world. Within six years, H.O.G. membership soars to more than 90,000. By the year 2000, it exceeds 500,000 members. Also Harley Davidson has a loyal customer base, in which makes it even more consolidated in the global market.

2. Technology has a very important role in the Harley Davidson's history. During the World War II, they had to suspend nearly all production of civilian motorcycle in order to produce motorcycle to the military. After the war they converted back to produce to the civilian market. Some decades later Harley Davidson experienced a rapidly growth after some acquisitions, in which, they were able to invest in new technology, like fiberglass components to the motorcycle. Since the beginning of Harley Davidson, has been developing its motorcycles. Changing engines, cylinders, fibers and
