This is my multi-genre web project. The topic I have chosen is my sleeping disorders. I chose this topic because I have a sleeping disorder called sleep apnea, and feel comfortable enough to express this topic. I know some people who have sleeping disorders and for me I take a long time to fall asleep. I just people to see what was going on in my life and all my thoughts. To show how this disorder was affecting my family. Ninety percent of Americans have some sort of sleeping disorder, whether they know it or not. This is a very important subject because lack of sleep is not healthy. People need their sleep, and I wish more Americans knew about sleeping. I have put in some personal info about my topic in this project with the intention of teaching others about my slumber.
The key parts in this project are facts. There are factual descriptions about my sleep apnea. The main themes of each of my genres are like storytelling. They are factual, but creative too. I would give more of an overview of what's to come, but then it wouldn't be a surprise! Hope you like it!
Poem
Infinite Sleep
By: Indira Puello
When I am lost,
Dreams so far
Through the darkest night,
Desires of my comfort.
Beyond the rain,
Whispers of infinite cold.
I just can't conceal it,
I know you're my only hope
As I lay my head,
Sing to me softly
The song of the stars,
O my sleepless night!
Take me away,
Bright lights surround me
Bring me infinite sleep
Let me escape!
Not seen, Not heard!
Mom: "We have talk about Indira before she gets home!"
Dad: "Alright, let's make it quick."
Johnny: "I'm worried about her."
D: "She has been distant with me, I try finding out what is wrong and she says "Nothing is wrong with me."
M: "I know she did the same thing with me the other day."
J: "Well, she acts normal like nothing bothers her."
M: "Indira has been staying up very late, even till morning!"
D: "It's true! As a matter a fact I haven't seen her sleep or let alone not even a nap."
J: "You know what when she spends the night at my house, I always fall asleep before her so I never really get to see her sleep!"
M: "Johnny, I think you should talk her she spends more time with u than with us."
J: "I'll see what I can do, wait! "Did u hear that?"
D: "SHHH! I think she's coming act normal!"
