I. Thesis: In "Homeboy" Malcolm X talks about his life in Boston, right after he has moved from Mason, Michigan. Malcolm is in the same time amazed by the big prosperity that the Negroes there had made and also very sad after seeing how "brainwashed" are most of them; how different they thought they were from their brothers and sisters.

In "Homeboy" Malcolm X talks about his life in Boston, right after he has moved from Mason, Michigan. Malcolm is in the same time amazed by the big prosperity that the Negroes there had made and also very sad after seeing how "brainwashed" are most of them; how different they thought they were from their brothers and sisters.
When Malcolm X first met the wealthy blacks he thought that they were high-class, educated, important Negroes, living well, working in big jobs and positions. Later on he realized that they were nothing more than the Negroes form the ghetto. The only difference between them was that the Roxbury blacks had immigrated before the ghetto blacks and had had the chance to gather some money, find themselves a better job and eventually buy a house or a mansion; even though they were renting the whole house, just to make it for the payments. Malcolm is amazed how come these people can not see how transparent they are throughout the eyes of the regular Negroes. The author mentions in the text how prestige these people thought their jobs were, but the only prestige thing about their jobs was their job title. In reality most of them
