The horse

Overall:

The object I viewed is a sculpture called Horse.

It was designed and produced in about 7CE around 680 to 720CE in China.

It is 16-inch-high with low relief.

The whole sculpture is in light pink which seems like had been faded for a long time. But we still can easily see the eye on one side of the horse.

It is apparently to see the small bubbles on the surface. Which may be caused by the making process.

I think the material of the object is ceramics. The surface is veritably smooth. There is still some mod on the surface which I think was left when it was digged.

The sculpture is with the hollow structure and is closed silhouette. I think it is intended to be seen from one point of view since all the details and special points are on one side of the sculpture.

The horse is standing on the ground with its four feet. The front two legs are standing straightly and the two legs in the back are bending. The head of it seems like bowed and biased on one side. The tail is facing upward.

It is a completed sculpture but had been repaired. One of the front leg was broken with a clearly crack.

This is a really strong horse with the strong mussels. We can easily see from its face and back.

Though it is a simple sculpture with several simple straight lines, it still can show out the spirit and the majesticity

The face:

The expression on its face is really cute. The horse was bowing with a open mouth. It seems like it is ready for the coming war.

The technique of making is good. We can clearly recognize every part of the horse especially some details. the nose and the eyes are sculptured vivid. Though it had faded, we can still see one of the eyes.
