Many people choose now gambling as a way of life. Gambling is being introduced as a way to boost the economy, create jobs, etc. But there is a high human cost. Although it might create revenues, because of its easy accessibility in Russia it also creates problems similar to drug abuse. In fact there are many examples of gambling related crime that ranges from individual all the way up to organized. Moreover some cases when it leads to suicide are known. All these for sure affects, even destroy gamblers’ families. Adoption of statute of casinos resettlements could cardinally change this situation and save many people.

The number of gamblers grows daily. One of the reasons is the growth in the amount of legalized gambling establishments and the accessibility. However, is it not the government who should ban casinos within a city area? Now the government of Russia is working at an establishing such a law. Let us remember that in October the president of Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, introduced a bill concerning the gambling industry. This bill proposes that casinos resettle out of big cities to four special zones of Russia. This means people will be less likely to become addicted.

Although many assume that in casinos one truly gets lots of good emotions and a large portion of adrenalin, gambling, in its compulsive form, can act like a disease such as alcoholism or cigarette addiction. Gamblers are often characterized as having a lax conscience. They also often resort to crime to pay off their debts. If Vladimir Putin introduced bill becomes a law probably it will lower number of gambling addicted people.

Of course there is some evidence that casinos have a positive side. For example, that numerous jobs and the extra revenue for the government which are created at these gambling locations. However, what are these advantages compared with many major problems which gambling causes in the gamblers families? Characteristics of
