HOW TO CLEAN A BOLTACTION CENTERFIRE RIFLE
Introduction
Owners of rifles and firearms have to clean their weapons regularly in order maintain the rifle in good conditions so that safety during the use of it is not compromised, as well as to maintain the accuracy and keep it working properly.
These instructions explain how to clean bolt-action rifles, specifically a Boldface Center Fire .308 (7.62 mm) Caliber Rifle.
DANGER: Handle fire-weapons with extreme caution. Misuse or improper handling can lead to death. Never, under no circumstances, aim at a person. Before performing any cleaning procedures to the rifle make sure that it is not loaded.
To clean this rifle correctly, you will need the following equipment:
Ð'* Rag
Ð'* Cleaning Rod
Ð'* Cotton Cleaning Patches
Ð'* Gun Oil
The major steps in cleaning the rifle are (1) Disassemble the fire mechanism, (2) Clean the fire mechanism, (3) Lubricate the fire mechanism, and (4) Reassemble fire mechanism.

Required Steps
1. Disassemble fire-mechanism.
Rifle must be unloaded at all times. Make sure there are no cartridges in the chamber before proceeding to clean the fire-weapon.
a. Place Fire weapon on a clean surface. Make sure the muzzle is pointing forward (that is, the butt must be facing you).
b. Remove the bolt by:
i. Gently grab the bolt-handle and apply torque counter-clockwise.
ii. Then, pull the bolt until it stops.
iii. After this happens, release the bolt lock in order to remove the bolt completely.
iv. Place the bolt in a clean surface, preferably a clean rag.
c. Open the magazine by:
i. Gently pull the magazine release lock in front of the trigger-guard.
ii. Then, lower the magazine cover. Be careful not to lose any springs or parts pertaining to the magazine.
2. Clean the fire-mechanism
a. Clean the bolt. Take a cotton patch and clean the bolt. Make sure to clean it completely by removing any remnants of contaminant (old) oil.
b. Clean the barrel.
i. Place a cotton patch in the cleaning rod. Apply Oil to the cotton patch
