"Pumpkin bars, what are these things, should I trust them. MMM these are good." From Leah, a friend. I didn't know what they were until last year but have become one of my favorite desserts. First to start off I am going to tell you what you need for these bars, secondly the how to make the bars, and thirdly how to enjoy these bars of pumpkins
So with any recipe there are certain ingredients. This also applies with pumpkin bars. If one were to make these bars they will need one can 15 oz pumpkin which comes conveniently in a can. Also needed is 2 cups of sugar, one cup of oil, 2 eggs, 2 cups of flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, yes both soda and powder. From there you'll need one teaspoon of salt, and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
Every good cook knows that the order of operation is crucial in making a good dish. Really I don't know if that's true or not but I though that sounded good. The way that I make these guys goes in this order. First of all I clear an area for the mixing process. You know sanitize the area, arrange the ingredients, and of course leaving room for the mixing motion. Then preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Okay now for the mixing part. Start off with putting the pumpkin in a can into the bowl. Then drop the two cups of sugar into the bowl. From the two cups of sugar go ahead and put some as in two cups of flour in. Now here comes the tricky part. It says two eggs but they need to be beaten. So hopefully there is a bowl and fork set aside for the beating of the eggs. Now beat the eggs as if they are going to be scrambled, then put them in the bowl of ingredients. Now carefully measure the one teaspoon of baking soda and add in. Measure out two teaspoons of baking powder, one teaspoon of salt, and then two teaspoons of cinnamon and add them into the bowl. Now go ahead and mix all of these things together. After mixing go ahead and get a 13 in a half by 9 inch
