The front cover is dominated with a picture of an average classroom but one of the children in the class has been cut out. The picture relates to the title “Is your child missing out?” because the child who has been cut out of the picture is literally missing from the classroom and they are missing out on their education. The writing on the front is a variety of colours; red, blue and black so you do not necessarily focus on one thing. This will either make the reader read all the information because it is different or it will make the reader think that only some of the information is important and read that piece of writing.
On the inside of the front cover it explains what the purpose of leaflet in white writing on a light blue background which is easy to read and too garish. It basically says “for anyone with a child at school” this tells you that the leaflet is for parents and that all parents should read it.
The bulk of the information is contained on the next 3 pages under 7 sub headings this makes it easy for people to choice what they want to read if they want a specific topic. There are bullet points in some sections to make reading it easier and it gives you information quickly. The most important pieces of information are written in red at the bottom of some sections for instance laws and facts. On the back cover there is a final section telling you where to get further information and where to obtain further copies.
