How will I apply what I learned to my course?
After watching the online videos about tips on anti-procrastination, I realized that the way I have been dealing with my assignments and deadlines were ineffective and unproductive. I was determined to get over my chronic procrastination, a major problem that I am dealing with in my college career. I found that these online videos have helped me on how to better prepare for myself for my future works and deadlines.Therefore, I will apply these useful methods to enhance my academic performances and be more productive in life.
The first step is called “Eat an Elephant”. In order to digest the whole elephant, we need to break it down into smaller, digestible pieces. Likewise, I would break down the big assignments that I need to finish into smaller segments before bulldozing them down in one go. If I finished the smaller tasks of the whole big assignment, I would feel less intimidated by giving me a sense of accomplishment. Not only would I feel more composed and be better organized with my work, I would also be able to produce a better assignment instead of putting it till the end and rushing it to finish in a single go.
After I break down the big assignment into smaller segments, I would create an accountability chart to keep track of the amount of time I would need to accomplish my tasks and activities. By keeping track of them, I can prioritize the more important tasks I would need to finish first rather than wasting a lot time on less important ones. If I can accommodate my priorities, I will be able to finish more tasks than I think I would.
I knew that I need to solve my problem of procrastination as soon as possible but I didn’t actually initiate myself to do it. But after taking the adjunct skill class which required me to do watch the online videos for some lab skills, it has helped me to know where
