   There are more and more international students and new immigrants go to foreign countries to live and study. Some of them go for school, some others go for business and some others go for living. However, some people adapt well to a new environment and others retain their original culture identity. When people take up a new life with  a different culture and they are able to live comfortably and work effectively, it’s called Cultural Adjustment. Making an adjustment in a new country is challenging and adventurous, so how you can get through difficulties and adjust to that new environment? There are so many ways to adapt new culture by making new friends, reading books, join in activities, and furthermore that is trust in yourself and never give up or feel frustrated.

        When you first enter to a foreign country, you may face new experiences, new language and culture. Adjusting to these changes is a process and it’s a long way journey. First of all, you may feel excited and surprised about the change. Traffic patterns may be confusing, buildings may look more different than you expected, housing arrangements may be strange to you. However, when you realize the difference about the culture between your home country and the current country, stress and frustration are the feelings you will have. People who don’t know or know English a little, you won’t understand what native speakers say.  International students may have troubles understanding lessons in colleges, and doing assignments and essays as their homework.

Besides that, some of the traditions in that country may shock you because you’ve never experienced them before. And at this time, you can’t have a driving license or a job right away, so

things seem really hard with you. Then, to overcome those problems, you have to find the solutions yourself to integrate into your new life. You should increase familiarity with the new culture and adapt behavior, attitudes and language. You should make friends with your classmates in colleges or neighbors around your area. If they need any help, spend some time to do for them. It’s a great way if you join in their society activities and festivals. You’ll feel like one of the citizens without differences and you can get new experiences about their culture through those events.

      On the other hand, to become a deeper learning about their language and culture. You should study and practice speaking their mother tongue like in some Western countries, you can easily study English by attending in a class of ESL center.
