Autocratic: Manager makes decisions. Tells workers their job. Tight control. Communication down
Democratic: Includes workers for decisions. Employees seen-part of team. Not as much control
Laissez-Faire: Employees make decisions. Trust. Workers call action for outcome.
Job Analysis: Tell duties + requirments + importance. Collected by data
Job Design: Decide task + responsibilities need to be used. Chain of command.
Job Description: Explain job available. Helps process run better. State expectations
Person Specification: Essential + desirable. Find out what the people skills are. Content- Knowledge, skills and personal qualities.
Recruitment Methods: Paper, TV +Training schemes.
Purpose of recruitment adverts: Find best person.
Interview: Make comparisons + form view.
Induction cons: Can employee make expectations. Attitude could turn negative.

Health and Safety: Workers duty of care. Applies to everyone employees, customer + suppliers.
Companies must make appointment for H&S, policy, risk assessment, committee, training + insurance
MUST: Report all incidents, arrange first aid, display H&S posters + keep up to date
E&D: Cannot discriminate. Must take all skills and ability into consideration regardless of anything.
Ageist Assumptions: Less relevant skills, Harder to train and worse health illness. Therefore, older people less likely to get job and less understanding of age market.
Job cannot advert on years experience. Age question restricted in interview

Physical Culture: Things that you can e.g. house
Subjective Culture: Things that you cannot see e.g. skill + attitude.
Structure- Centralised: Decision maker at top. Use when crisis for agreement
Decentralised: Lowers have some authority. Times of change + uncertainty.
