Lust, IND AFF, and a Rose for Emily are three different stories that share a lot in common such as searching for true love, relationship problems and how each come with their own to self realization to what they have learned or want later on in life and from it .
How ever the three stories talk about three different females with three different age groups which give us different views for understanding love and how each character is approached differently than one another when they share the same problem.
Lust, is a story of a young teenager girl who grows up in house with a shy father and a polite mother. Like any other teenage girl she wants to go wild and experience with the soppiest sex and find that thing called love. Like any other she likes guys so she mixes with them and offers her self for them. She tells us about a bunch of boys that she went out with and her experiences. How each was different and how she like it. Each made her and felt her in different ways. After having to many experiences with boys she reaches to a point where she starts liking and disliking guys leaving her confused. "certain nights you'd feel a cretin surrender, maybe if you'd had wine. The surrender would be forgetting yourself and you'd put your nose into his neck and feel like a squirrel, safe, at rest, in a restful dream. But then you'd start to slip from that and the dark would come in and there'd be a cave. You make out the dim shape of the windows and feel yourself become a cave, filled absolutely with air, or with a sadness that wouldn't stop" that's what is going on exactly in her head. Any girl that shows too much skin is conceders a slut by the boys and that's how they treat and look at her. Boys treat girls as they dressed and she wears a mini skirt so she was getting treated like a slut. In the
