Illegal Immigrants
I am against illegal immigrants staying in the United States. I am not racist, but the majority of illegals in America happen to be Hispanic. I believe that people should be able to immigrate to America, but they should follow the laws for doing so. There are many statistics I have read that anger me, and would anger many as well if they only knew them. Those in support of illegal immigrants do not realize all of the things being taken away from us.
Many "Americans" say that all people who want to live here in America should be able to do so. It is thought that the process for becoming a citizen is too long and hard. It is expensive as well. They think that the laws are too harsh. If someone's life is not good in one country then they should just be able to come here and start working and making a happy life for themselves and their family. It is claimed that we were all immigrants at some point.
I disagree. If a person wants to make a happy life in America then they should only be able to do so if they go through the proper methods. They may be hard, and expensive, but it is worth it. A member of all of our families came to America from another country at some point. These people were the first with our name in America. They came to America legally. These illegal immigrants should become legal immigrants and be the first of their family to make it legally in America. They can then be told about to their great great grandchildren. I am not against those who come to our country legally. It is the illegal ones who are hurting us.
12 Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens. Illegal immigrants driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol cause 4,745 premature deaths per year, many are driving stolen cars without a license. They are then getting thrown into an American jail, taking up space, and using money. 29% (630,000) of the inmates in all state and federal prisons are illegal aliens--at a cost of $1.6 billion annually. The American taxpayer's money is not even getting spent on Americans. In 2005, illegal immigrants gave birth to over 380,000 babies. We paid for 97.2% of the costs of those births.
