Immigration into the United States is a very large concern in the country today. Many people are flocking to the United States in order to gain freedom, as well as prosperity that America is promised for. Today, the United States contains millions of immigrants- legal and illegal. America constantly has to create new vaccines and jobs for the immigrants into America as well as American citizens. Much chaos in America today is cause by the immigrants. Immigration to the US today should be restricted.
The first reason for immigration to the United States to be restricted is that Amnesty for illegal immigrants to the United States has cause many problems in the government, as well as employment of welfare dependants. More than 8 million illegal and legal aliens to the United States reside in permanent housing developments, as well as work stable jobs. This takes jobs of the American citizen, which strains the entitlement programs to a breaking point, encouraging many more illegal aliens to immigrate to the United States with the future promise of LEGAL citizenship to the United States. According to the Council of government reform, " Amnesty for illegal aliens was a bad idea when it was first proposed, and is even a worse idea today" Restriction of Immigration to the United States would help reduce the problems of Americans with common welfare, and employment.
A second reason for Immigration to the United States being restricted is the fact that aliens to the United States are making America extremely diverse, causing the country to have many different ethnic groups, as opposed to one large community. The United States has its own culture, and ways of life that are different than many of the immigrants into the United States. Due to the fact that millions of immigrants are in the United States today, we have hundreds of different ethnic groups, made of various nationalities, from various sundry areas around the globe, into isolated communities and then fighting for the rights of their cultures in America making America change its ways for their own culture. A statement by James E Walsh says that, "No nation in the history of the world has ever been able to deal with massive influxes of foreigners, or foreign cultures, and influences." America is a country with its own values and customs. Immigration to the United States should be completely restricted to ensure the values and ethnicity that it was founded with.
Finally, immigration to the Untied States should be prohibited because of the increase in population in the United States in the past ten years. Studies show that due to immigration (legal and illegal) that the population of America has nearly double with the increasing immigrations into America . Many immigrants are being forced into small developments to the lack of room for them. The Census Bureau recorded that the over the decade of 1990s, more than half of the population growth would be accounted for by the immigrants to the United States. Immigration has caused United States to be extremely crowded, with more and more people arriving in America every day. Many legal immigrants are at extreme risk for infections as well as deportation due to the lack of room for all the immigrants. Banning immigration to the United Stated would help reduce the continuous growing population of America, making American citizens lives more comfortable with out the risk of overpopulation.
Immigration to the United States ensures and promises a new life with prosperity and a first-rate future. However, with the promise of a new live and prosperity of Aliens to the country, it makes it extremely difficult of American citizens to have a change at a promising future. Legal American citizens should be able to have a fair and good life, rather than favoring them as well as illegal aliens, who have traveled here without permission. Americans should have the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, without the interruptions of immigrants to the US, who have a priority over the common American citizen. Immigration being banned in the United States would help the common welfare of the American citizen.
