In this short paragraph essay I will discuss the importance of the "bulls eye" model of ecology. There are multiple layers to this model. The outer most is climate. Then comes landscape. Then ecology follows. After that it is evolution. The inner most ring is genetics. All of these are inter connected in order to form how ecological balances work with one another. Evolution is the driving force of ecology. This is because natural selection takes place in nature as proven by mr. charles darwin. As a result there are selected pressures on species biotic and abiotic. This creates favorability proven by fitness and as a result certain genetics are prefered and passed onto offspring. Thus we have evolution take place. All of these are important because without evolution there would be no advancements in ecology. There needs to be advancments in order for there to be diversity amoung populations and communitites. Communitites work together in order to provide for one another and increase their fitness. Fitness allows for species to pass their genetics through one another and have species flurish. Ecology is important in life because it is what keeps the world going. Without ecology there would be no evolution. Evolution drives diversity and adaptations cause variety as well. It is important to keep in mind that all rings in the ecology bulls eye model apply at all times and that they all work together to create an ecosystem. Ecosystems are formed by geological influences, climate influences, genetic influences, ecological influences, and evolutionary influences.
