Inclusive Language is very important when you are communicating online to your classmates. You could really offend someone even though you are not trying to. When you are online your classmates only see what is being written not your reactions but when you are in person some people can tell when you are joking or when you are mad but when you are talking to someone online they can’t see you visually. The first pointer I would give you Anthony is to never call someone business lady or business men. At the beginning of the letter you say business lady when you should say her name. Listing someone as business lady or men is inclusive language unless you state both, because you may offend her by saying what she is instead of who she is. In your letter you say to any business man who wants to move up in the company, which is why you offended one of your classmates who were a woman. When you just say business men you make it sound like only business men want to move up in the company when woman also want to take advantage of moving up in the company. You should say business man and buisness woman so you classify both sexes so no one gets offended. In your letter you call the managers in your company good ol boys this could offend them. You are creating a negative stereotype. Are some of your managers women, saying the good ol boys could also offend a woman because you say boys as if only all your managers are men. Finally you start your letter by saying hi guys, you should never state just a man or a woman if the letter is addressed to all then you should say to whom it may concern, saying guys refers only to men when your classmates may have men and women.
