In the modern day, people can be classified in to many groups with unique stereotype of their own. For example, we can describe them with common non-physical traits group such as ethnic. The Asian are believed to be a model of intelligent with minimal social life by most of the people. People have such belief and assumptions that are given to Asian because they are mostly affected from the surrounding environment.
The Asian are often given the word “Smart” by the white people. This is a true case because Asian parent are more concerned about their children study schedule and make them contribute more time on their study career. For example, a student in Viet Nam in the age between from 12 to 18 years old the study schedule last from the 7am to 12am, additional classes from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., sometime they even have to take class or self-study at night. From the very early day, Asian kids have been taught strictly to study hard and do well in the school to have a bright future. Somehow it is a good way to guide their children throughout their life. And as a result of their hard work, they often achieve more than others in the school and even in the future work career. This can be proven from some statistic such as “While Asian Americans make up only 4% of the U.S. population, Asian-American students make up a much higher percentage of student bodies in top universities around the country. The percentages are astounding: 24% at Stanford, 18% at Harvard, and 25% at both Columbia and Cornell. More Asian Americans over the age of 25 have bachelor’s degrees and advanced degrees than any other race or ethnic group. And after outperforming their colleagues in school, Asian Americans also bring home higher incomes than their non-Asian counterparts almost $10,000 more annually than the rest of the population (2002 statistics).”
An Asian is often described as a short and thin person with black hair. From the ancient time, there is a huge difference between physical body between Asian and others races. The Asian have a much smaller body structure compared with European or African. However, with the medical help and nutrient improvement. The height gap between Asian and the rest are getting close from year to year. Also, Asian kids are taught strictly by their parents. They are taught to respect the elder, teacher and their parents. And one day they become a high disciplined person and will repeat what they are taught to their descendant.
