Inferential Statistics and Findings
The hypothesis testing procedure assists in identifying whether a particular claim about a population is true or false based on a particular sample size. In the Week 2 team paper we discussed potential variables that my effect the employees. An independent variable may include corporate demographics and a dependent variable may include the morale of the employees.
Based on the sample size of the corporate office, a total of 125 people the demographics is made up of a majority of professionals (51) which include Finance Professionals (6), Engineers (18), IT (5) and those that are classified as all other professionals (22). The demographics can be broken down even further by race and gender. All of these variables may contribute to company’s success or morale.
Below are the standard deviations for all of the corporate employees both as a total and males and females by race. While these results do not provide any conclusive answers about morale the lack of diversity in this company may be a contributing factor to the morale of the employees.
