Every year thousands of people, male and female, try the latest techniques in plastic surgery to improve or enhance their look. Many of you might even have thought about having plastic surgery yourself. You see it on T.V., in the media, the celebrities do it, and even your average person can get it now. Deciding on getting plastic surgery done might be difficult as you weigh the pros and cons of it. I hope to make your decision a little more easier as I share with you some of the latest facts and statistics.
There are several varieties of procedures in the industry today, and theyĆ''re coming out with new operations all the time. Having plastic surgery done does have its risks and can get pricey. The risk factor is not as great as it used to be, but there is still a chance of being dissatisfied with your new appearance, on the other hand you might be perfectly happy and satisfied with your new look.
They are coming out with so many different cosmetic plastic surgeries that it's hard to choose which one to get, on the other hand, a lot of people are getting multiple surgeries done. Some of the most popular ones from 2003 are Liposuction, breast augmentation, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and female breast reduction. Some of the most popular non-surgical procedures were Botox injections, which led all non-surgical and surgical procedures among Americans, with over 2 million people getting these injections, an increase of 37% in one year. Other non-surgical procedures that follow not far behind are laser hair removal, microermabrasion, chemical peel and collagen injections. There were nearly 8.3 million procedures total performed in the year 2003.
Almost anybody who has money can change their appearance or even look like a star in a month or two. These options are not only limited to the celebrities that you see one T.V., but the plastic surgeons and the market is now targeting you, the average day to day person. Almost anybody can afford some type of plastic surgery. Depending on the procedure, it can cost $200.00 to $6,000 and up. You may only have to have it done once, or you might have to go in every so often and have it done repeatedly. Money can definitely become an issue when it comes to deciding what kind of surgery you're going to get.
