A guide to Reykjavik
This short tour-guide should help you get some ideas of the places you can visit during your stay in Iceland. It should give you an idea of what it could cost you, how much time it would take and if you need to take any equipment with you. All these places are located near by Reykjavik so you can get to them by a bus or a taxi.
Laugardagslaug
Located in the Laugardalur valley is the Laugardalslaug. It has a 50 meter pool hot tubs, Jacuzzi, steam bath and 86 meter long water slide. It also has an inside pool and in the same building there is a huge Fitness Centre, so every one should find something they like, whether it’s just relaxing in the hot tubs, splashing around in the waterslide or burning some sweat in the Fitness Centre. Laugardalslaug is a great place to start the day, in the weekends they are open from 8am вЂ" 22pm, so if you want to make the best of the day it’s best to get up early.

The shopping-centres
Kringlan and Smaralind are the Reykjaviks shopping centres. Both places have a playground for children from 3-9 years old where you can leave you’re children in good hands while you shop. Kringlan and Smaralind have all kinds of shops, so it doesn’t matter if you are a sports or a fashion freak, you will find something that you like. There are also lots of restaurants and a cinema at both places, so you can easily spend half a day there if you like.

Hallgrimskirkja
Hallgrimskirkja is one of the tallest buildings in Iceland. It took 38 years to build the church and it was finally completed in 1986. It has an observation tower, and because the church is located in the centre of ReykjavÐ"k you get an incredible view of ReykjavÐ"k and the surrounding mountains.

Perlan вЂ" The Pearl
The pearl is located on the hill OskjuhlyÐ"o. It has a very fancy restaurant on the top flor. Not only is the food top notch but you get a spectacular panoramic view of Reykjavik, while the restaurant circles 360Ð'o every two hours. The Pearl is the most unic building in Iceland. Some say it looks like a spaceship and some say it looks like a giant boob. That is enough reason for some people to visit The Pearl. But for those of you that don’t share those people imagination, don’t worry, you will still enjoy the visit.
