INTRODUCTION

Internet is a global information system that can be publicly accessible includes computer networks linked together. The system transmits information by type of packet data transfer connection (packet switching) based on a network protocol has been standardized (IP protocol). This system consists of thousands of smaller computer networks of enterprises, research institutes and the universities, the individual users and governments around the globe. Today the Internet has really changed the lives of people, it makes changes to the way we communicate, help people in scientific research or find information more easily, all information is up to date quickly and continuously, not difficult to find something on the Internet. Especially, the Internet was changing the way we do business, this has created a boom in the world economy as well as Vietnam, companies and businesses had the opportunity to reach worldwide customers by providing products and services via the Internet, which has created a global market, not only the local market. In addition, the Internet has become a useful tool for corporations and businesses to do marketing, from which the interaction between customers and businesses closer together. Therefore, we find that there are three important areas have changed in how we do business, they are: communication, marketing and competition.

Communication

  • Communication is an inevitable problem in a business, communicate with customers, employees or partners. In the previous year, when the Internet was not developed, the communication to exchange information through the meetings, telephone conversations.
  • Internet has provided great advances in communication, fast even with many individuals and from a distance. Business communication are expanding by email, video chat, social media, for example, we can send a reply email to customers quickly and relieve stress as well as disadvantages when trying to make a call.
  • The Internet enables businesses can maintain direct relationships with each customer individually in a very large number of their clients. Information about each individual customer are included in the company's relations and includes metrics such as sales, accounts, marketing. High level of service provided to customers has become the standard for online consumer market.
  • With email, we can send messages about products, pricing to our customers and it is also a reliable address to keep in regular contact with customers. In the current business environment, to communicate with customers quickly and obviously very necessary.
  • Buyers can compare prices and services of different providers in the world to select the most appropriate items.
  • The website allows customers to get answers to their questions. When customers use technology to interact with the enterprise, the enterprise will benefit greatly as this is an effective way to help businesses build a public image.
  • The Internet also provides an opportunity for people worldwide to create multiple connections with different countries in the world without the need to buy a ticket, change the plan a trip or a lot of changes to the schedule individual response. Thanks to the internet, the commercial activity is done faster, more efficiently, save costs and expand business space.
  • Domestic suppliers and foreign suppliers can easily be linked more closely together in the supply chain.

Marketing

  • Marketing of years ago was done by direct mail, phone calls, advertising on television, radio and magazines. Today, the Internet has provided a platform marketing in a new way, and a way to connect with potential customer.
