Ironic Story
When I was little I was very shy. I never was very social at school or outside events. It always took me a long time to make friends and associate myself with different kinds of people. I guess you could say my mom was my best friend.
I got a lot of attention when I was little because I was the only girl. My mom made sure to give me whatever I wanted when I wanted it. I cried a lot and threw tantrums when I didn't get what I wanted when my mom wasn't around. My brothers teased me and made me cry a lot. Not having my mom to comfort me at school also made it hard so even if i wouldn't get chosen for an activity or a game I would start crying. My teacher noticed but she never really said anything. I found that the solution was to just avoid playing with children who I thought would torment me. I would sometimes even just stay in class during recess and help the teacher. At the end of the day on a Friday one day the teacher gave us our report cards. I wasn't worried or anything like that because although I wasn't very social I was successful academic wise. When I got home I handed my mom the report card. As she read it out loud to me she informed me that my teacher said I was very sensitive on one of the comments. I asked my mom what sensitive meant and she explained it to me. As soon as she was done explaining it I started crying.
I really enjoyed writing this ironic essay. I think life is full of irony without of even realizing it. An ironic story can be funny or serious. Either way we can learn a lot from it
