Objectives and Scope of the Study

The sweeping expansion and progress of incorporated health services exhibits enormous contests to the well-organized, resourceful, competent and reliable employment of information technology, particularly in huge, departmentalized organizations. It had been a traditional case to identify with the complications of organizational aspects and its prerequisite to obtain a further high-leveled methodology.

When Curbishley Royal Hospital started planning for a clinical strategy for information technology system they realized that there is a great need for them to assess their readiness for clinical IT within the organization which would enable them to offer external services.

This paper is designed to be business report to guide decision-making in adoption of Information Technology in the hospital setting. It would provide firms with real options that can allow them to exercise strategies for future growth or cost savings through the management of information technology investments which is a real value to the organization since it would help the management to realign their business and also not just simply to justify IT investments but also to realize the value of information technology investments. Lastly, it would aid in IS investment process to detect the right applications of information technology befitting for the hospital business which have been a critical concern for the management team.

Methods of Enquiry

In organizational research, the inquiries are the catalyst for it to effect major innovation, effectively manage risks and simplify problem-solving and decision-making thus making it at the edge of business success. These inquiries are best handled through the use of principles produced for the purpose of analyzing, assessing and are suited to the study at hand and which had been historically operationalized.

Analytic-Deductive Principle

Analytical approach as a mode of reasoning is made upon statements that are differentiated through the analysis of its own essence or real meaning rather than their implications, no personal experiences are drawn upon because that would lead to biases. The paths of its inquiries are continuous and/or derivative to natural sciences. It also emphasizes on clarity and argument chiefly to explain theoretical queries on the language that was used to express those statements.

While, deductive reasoning interprets its meanings from the general to the particular or much known as from cause to effect. Its predictions are predominantly ingrained on established experiences, observation, and main beliefs.

In the Analytic-Deductive Principle research is being implemented to draw the result of the premeditated choice of action through the use of numerical data and therefore it can offer an extensive perception of various trends. The assessments of the analytic-deductive principle are likely objective and more or less reliable for its conclusions are based on the supporting facts presented.

Inductive-Consensual Principle

Induction or inductive reasoning, it proceeds from actual facts to a general inference. In arguments, inductive process of reasoning has a premise that does not ascertain its conclusion however it maintains it. It is likely to derive a true statement using inductive reasoning if you know the conclusion simply because it is rational and the basis is of what has been observed. And the reasoning could go beyond space than time and the rationale behind inductions is deductively invalid.

Meanwhile, consensual principle generates decision-making course not just to gain the approval of the observant but also to ease the negations of the lesser numbers to attain the most amenable judgment. A strong consensus decision had from the beginning promoted optioneering and eradicated disputes thereby makes best use of the chance for all opinion may it be from the minority or the majority be discussed and examined.
