Assumption: 8 Working Hours per Day, 5 Working Days per Month

Terms Used:

Boards = (4 feet by 5-3/4 inch)

Min = Minute Ft = Feet

CP = Capacity of a work station

HRS = Hours

CP1-Cutting of Lumber from Table Saw: 10 ft/ min ÐŽÑŠ 600ft/ hr

600ft / 12ft = 50 (12 ft boards) ÐŽÑŠ 50*3 pieces per twelve feet board = 150 Boards

150 boards/hr

1200 boards/day

*NOTE: As Jeffries want to achieve a goal of selling 5000 square feet of Hardwood Flooring per month, he would want to determine whether or not his current manufacturing unit has that capacity. The Surface Area per board is 2 square feet, so the Number of Boards that would make a total of 5000 sqft would be 5000/2 = 2500 Boards.
