RE: 90 DAY JOB EXPECTATIONS
Your recent performance appraisal on 11/7/07 included two areas needing improvement. The first area identified as deficient was "Controls hoisting machinery to move extrusion components through anodizing baths." The other area was related to communication skills and managing conflict.
The documented incident on 1/2/08 involving damage to a load on the anodizing line illustrates the fact that not only have you made no progress with areas needing improvement, but you have taken a step backward. This is unfortunate considering your recent completion of the education course "Verbal and Nonverbal Communication Skills" which was required in your annual performance review.
You refused to take responsibility for the incident by not signing the incident report. Your inability to take ownership for damaged property and a potentially dangerous situation has prompted me to take this action with the following requirements:
Ð'* You will be expected to move material through the anodizing line with care and without haste and damage to person or property.
Ð'* You will be expected to manage conflict and to communicate responsibly when issues arise and to take ownership of your actions and the consequences of those actions.
We will meet weekly on Tuesday mornings for 5-10 minutes to plan your development and discuss your progress. Failure to comply with these expectations could result in serious disciplinary action
