Keirsey Temperament Sorter II Analysis

The Keirsey Temperament Sorter II (KTS- II) proved to be a simple online personality test with highly accurate results. I am a Guardian Protector, which can be described as living in a world of facts and concrete needs, ensures things are running smoothly and systematically and pride themselves on being a model citizen. Some characteristic traits of the guardian protector, per my discovery report, include dependability, helpful, loyal, cautious, and humble with a focus on traditions. Negative traits of the guardian protector can be described as demanding, critical, rigid and overtly detail oriented. Given this description of the guardian protector, I would have to say that I agree with the results.

I often find myself assisting others with difficult tasks not because I am more knowledgeable about the given subject, but because of my insight and analytic nature. I am a good team member to have around and am willing to complete work that is often considered tedious to others. I am very thorough when it comes to the completion of whatever I have my mind set on, although I do tend to hyper focus on smaller details of the project. This hyper focus can sometimes lead to spending too much time any one given task. This vice can be attributed to some of the weaknesses for the guardian protector.

Reviewing some of the stated weaknesses for the guardian protector, I can think of some steps to address these weaknesses and actions to take. The tendency to be demanding or critical with others is a personal choice. I will try my best to be respectful of others opinions and to not voice what I believe is the correct answer as this can demoralize my peers. Instead, I will encourage my peers to work through their problems using critical thinking skills and only offer my opinion when it is elicited. I have had to accept that not everyone will always aspire to the standards
