The barbecue grill industry is experiencing rapid growth that consumers are growing their interest in creating outdoor activities, with 81% of US households owning a barbecue grill in 2006 (HPBA, 2008). Grills are bigger and better in the US (Simon Busch, 2007). According to a survey conducted by the Arlington, VA-based Health, Patio & Barbecue Association, 60% of Americans are grilling constant, and nearly half are grilling during peak winter food months, with key selling occasions like the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day (Meg Major, 2006). But the most popular holidays for barbecuing are, July 4th (69%), Memorial Day (56%), and Labor Day (50%) (HPBA, 2008).
Gas Grill & Charcoal Grill
According to HPBA’s Website, the top six reasons that people barbecue are:

пЃ¬ because it requires little cleanup.
 because it’s an easy, informal and secure way to entertain family and friends.
пЃ¬ because we love to be outdoors.
 because it’s a great way to cook and eat a good piece of meat.
пЃ¬ because it keeps cooking odors outside.
