Know Yourself #4 – Page 68

  1. What are my greatest strengths?

My strengths include: public speaking, ability to interpret others, communication, presenting my thoughts effectively, and completing tasks in a timely, efficient manner.

  1. What are my greatest weaknesses?

My weaknesses include: stubbornness and, at times, lack of attention

  1. What kind of organization do I want to work for? What kind of organization do I not want to work for?

I want to work for an organization that I feel I make a difference in the company and I am treated with love and care. I don’t want to work somewhere where the work environment is negative and the job is draining. I want to be a part of a fun, fast, and lively work environment that wants me to come to work.

  1. What do I know about this organization?

When I work for an organization, I want to know the background of the company, what they do, and why they do it. I feel that if you work for a company that you know nothing about, you will be disengaged from your job and it will seem meaningless to you.

  1. Where do I really want to work?

I really want to work in the field of finance, so my choice of work would be somewhere that finance is present.

  1. Why do I want to change jobs?

I would want to change jobs due to a poor work environment or for a higher salary. Currently, I work at Kohl’s and I am in the transition of driving for Uber and Lyft. I’ve made this decision due to my declining love for my job and the opportunity to make a significantly higher amount of money.

  1. What do I expect as far as salary and benefits?

Benefits are not a huge concern to me because I already have my own insurances with USAA at a low rate. As for salary, I cannot say that I have an expectation for salary at any job, but I can have an estimate of what I think I can make. When I go to a job interview, I go in with an estimate of how much I could be offered to make, but I don’t expect anything.

  1. Where do I see myself in the next few years?

In the next few years, I find myself at George Mason finishing my Bachelor’s degree in finance. My plan for after that is to find a school for my doctorate and continue my education. Throughout this time, I plan on driving for Uber and Lyft in order to sustain a living.
