Replacing the point of sale system would require upgrades tosome of the currently used equipment as well as necessitate the installation of new equipmentthroughout the organization. However, replacing this equipment can improve the stability of theentire system, cut costs associated with servicing outdated equipment, and increase theperformance of the processes. Increasing system performance of the network would requireadditional capital investment in the project, and the current infrastructure within all stores wouldrequire upgrades to avoid compatibility issues.Kudler Fine Foods can benefit with the trade-offs by saving time and money or improveperformance and increase the system stability. However, the owner will need to decide theoptimum balance with implementation of the Frequent Shopper Program. The goal for thisprogram balances expense, time, and improved performance.
