This book is about Jean Valjean who is a criminal and guided of Cosette. The main problem Jean Valjean faced is saving his daughter lover – Marious from the Frances Revolution and decided not to kill the police inspector – Javert. To deal with both difficult. Jean Valjean arrived at the barricade and pretend to execute Javert. When Valjean being alone with Javert. Valjean instead secretly let Javert go free. In another way, Valjean grabbed the wounded Marius from the barricade and took him to his beloved Cosette. When Marius was making a full recovery. He want to figure out who had saved his lives at the barricade. With the depressed, Valjean decided to stay in church for rest of his life. Eventually, Marius found out Valjean save his life before. When both of them want to reward her father. At the result, Valjean died in peace luckily Marius and Cosette got to Valjean side on time.

The reason Valjean want to let Javert go free and save Marius lives were because he had a peaceful heart. Once Valjean opened up his heart, he become a testament of love and compassion and kindness man. This decisions were difficult because if he let Javert to escape at the barricade. As Javert was a responsible person, he might chase Valjean again after he backed to the command. Valjean took it risk because his kindness heart. Also, saved Marius from the barricade was also a big decision because there was in revolution. Everywhere in France was messy war fight. Valjean might get killed while his journey finding Marius. At the result of both decision. Valjean backed to command and think what he did to this kindness man who save his lives once in the barricade. Them, Javert justified himself either in letting Valjean go or arrest him to prison. Suddenly, he realized that he cannot act lawfully without acting immorally. Finally he found a solution for Valjean was spending his lives in church.
