Decision-making is defined by the Encyclopedia of human behavior as "the process of arriving at a
decision after evaluating all relevant alternatives in
achieving a decision marker's objective or
objectives." We as humans make thousands of decisions
a day, some are simple decisions such as what time you
will get up, what you are going to wear; and other are
a lot more complex such as what house you will buy,
who you will marry. The more we make decisions the
better we become at it. We learn from past mistakes
and each time becoming more and more adventurous.
"This person (the decision maker) must decide which
course of action will lead to the accomplishment of a
desired objective or set of objectives."(Decision 73)

In life we make decisions from the very beginning. As
a baby we deicide what we will put in our mouths, and
what makes us comfortable. We learn from these
Decisions. We also air on the side off caution, when
it comes to our first decision. We don't want to make
a too drastic change. Harold's first decision to take
a walk on a long straight path so he would not get
lost was a decision made with caution. He didn't know
how things where going to turn out, so he started off
simple. "But he didn't seem to be getting any where on
the long straight path."(Johnson 6)
