The music video for Madonna's "Like a Prayer" is very religious. Rather than being a video full of dancing and singing, this video is a story. You see men getting taken away to jail and Madonna is there to witness it. Madonna enters a church where she sees a saint, talks to it, then becomes an angel. She is there to help the man that is wrongly accused. This video portrays Madonna as a angel who is here to help the world. This video is completely different from any other of Madonna's. In this video Madonna shows off her dance moves. This video is full of Madonna dancing with cowboys. Madonna's dress is also very different, she dresses as a cowgirl. "Don't tell me" shows an energetic, fun loving, outgoing side of Madonna. Rather then a story, or a singing video, this one is purely focused on Madonna's dance style. It also shows the world that Madonna still has it even at an older age. It shows that nothing is going to stop her. In this video Madonna references Jewish mysticism. She chants a Jewish prayer over and over when she is being tortured. This video is the most violent video that Madonna has ever done. In this video she is being tortured by the military. She is being chained up and beaten, and is fighting off the guards. There is also a fencing scene between Madonna and herself. She is wearing a white outfit and a black outfit. This shows the good side and the evil side of Madonna fighting herself. This video shows the many different side of Madonna. This video is by far Madonna's most provocative. This video is purely sexual and caused a controversy on what should be allowed to be shown in music videos. The Erotica video portrays Madonna as a sexual object. It shows the lifestyle of promiscuous people. It shows the public a different type of life that most people are not used to. This video shows the public a different side of Madonna's life.
