Everything has two sides just like a coin. One side is heads and the other side is tails, two opposites. When we think of left we also think of right, just like if we were to think of north we also think of south. Just like these examples every situation also has a good side and a bad side. Sometimes we tend to not look at the "other side" because we just do not realize that it is there at all. Other times we just think that certain things are irrational and seem impossible, yet I think it is important to note that chance is a chance and a possibility is a possibility that can occur. It is a good idea to look at a situation from two points of view or maybe even more. The two most important are; what would happen if the outcome of the situation was positive, and what would happen if the outcome of the situation was negative. This can help give you a good idea of what to expect. I think that every situation does have a negative and positive outcome, but not everything is straight foreword good or bad.
Clearly there are some situations that people cannot imagine that good can ever come out of but, I think that in those cases it is important to be optimistic. One of these situations is death. When someone we knew or were close to us dies we all experience sadness. When we generally think of death we think of night, bleakness, grieving, crying, and cemeteries. Not everyone thinks of the fact that their loved one went to heaven. Nor does anyone think of the fact that when someone dies why does the family hold a gathering. I think that keeping the memories of someone alive is more important than just remembering them. Death has two concepts the material aspect and the spiritual aspect. According to the material aspect when someone dies their dead and gone you can never see them again. According to the spiritual aspect the soul goes to heaven and the person is not dead only their body is gone. So in general terms the spiritual aspect never states that the person is dead their still alive, just finally going home. I know that many people are atheist and do not believe in God. Atheists can say that a person just left a troubled world. They do not have to worry about anything anymore that would bother them. They finally reached their final destination, death. Plus when a person is dead many only look at their good side and never the bad side, keeping their goodness alive.
Another situation is one that we teenagers go through, peer pressure. Now people may ask, how in the world can peer pressure have a positive outcome? Well it can but we just do not notice it but, as we get older it helps us a lot. Adults make a big deal about dealing with peer pressure and not going the wrong way, but they don't realize it's what helps shape our lives. When a teenager deals with peer pressure it's mostly caused by friends. Dealing with those friends teaches valuable communication skills that will stay with us forever. Not only that but it will help us become better problem solvers too, by teaching us to weigh pros and cons to make the best decision. We don't realize these lessons until we get older and actually use them. On the topic of peer pressure with friends we all know that everyone makes mistakes and it's good to forgive and to forget and move on with life. That sure does not mean that you totally forget. As my mom always says one mistake prevents another and that advantage is one that should never be left behind. I have friends who are easily influenced and I have learned from their mistake and because of their mistake I was able to avoid the same mistake. See even some of the most negative issues can have a positive outcome.
"We have nothing to fear but fear itself," a famous quote by Franklin Delano Roosevelt during his Inaugural Address. Fear is a sensation that we all encounter once in our life. We try to devour those fears by trying to act brave, yet we really don't realize that sometimes you just have to learn a little about your fear to get rid of it. Surprisingly even fear has a positive aspect to it. When we humans have a fear about something we have a tendency to know more of our fears than those who are not afraid. This is because we never want to be caught in a situation with our fear. The fear can be either through being alone or even a mere spider. Fear can allow us to be afraid which teaches us humility. Take for example if someone is afraid of a spider and they encounter one in front of their friends who are not afraid of spiders they panic. Their friends laugh about it and then the victim is humiliated. Now if they are terribly humiliated then they know not to laugh at the fear of others, for they saw the result of their fear. This also is another communication skill believe it or not. Let's just say that I am an Achluophobic (afraid of the dark) and I am really afraid to admit
