In Kit Bowen's review of Man on Fire, Bowen points out the how long, drawn-out, predictable and unbelievable the movie is. She claims that the story is "plodded and underwritten", and that is seemingly fails to keep up with the action. Bowen goes on about how unrealistic the movie is as Creasy (Denzel Washington) is able to fight the kidnappers, while being wounded throughout the movieÐ'--being someone like Superman despite being wounded. The one thing she seems to give credit to is Tony Scotts directing of the scene between Creasy and Pita, and Creasy revenge tactics on the kidnappers. Overall, the story is hard-to-believe and basically she's "heard enough".
