Married Couples
The couples I interviewed, I have known them for a great deal of years. I have actually had the pleasure of having The Older wife (Abby) as a mentor and she has been in my life for a number of years. Courtney, the younger wife, we went to High school together and had the pleasure of knowing her outside of school. It was quite interesting interviewing both couples because I knew they would have a few differences in their marriages. These couples are willing to work out every kink possible to make their marriage work although they are not perfect. The love they show is not only real, but worth fighting for.
The couples are both men and women so they both are still learning the pros and cons of being married. The couples are leaning from each other while being married. They know that you have to continue doing the things you did before marriage. There are a few years in between Abby and Courtney but marriage has no age limit. Abby and he husband of 11 years have two twin boys. Courtney and her Husband of 5 months have a beautiful stepdaughter.
Abby and her Husband both live together with their children. Abby and her husband split up after living together for 14 years and being married 11 years. Six months into the marriage things started to change for them, so they took a break. The twins made the couple realize that saving was much harder to do with kids than without kids. Abby knew it was really all about getting the boys what they needed and not what they wanted until they financially stable enough to have extra money. The style of parenting for this couple never changed after they got married.
Courtney and her husband of five months, they have no kids together but they have a beautiful stepdaughter by her Husband. The stepdaughter does not live in the same house as her dad and Courtney but she holds a lot of respect for them. The stepdaughter spends a lot of time with her Father and Stepmother and they always tend to worry about getting her needs taking care of rather than he wants. Courtney knows that things will not change once she is back in school because there are ways of working things out to manage time. This young couple which is their first marriage, are still learning each other and are very well preparing themselves for what lies ahead in their future.
