Does the media have a liberal bias? Well it depends on who you ask. As they say in the introduction to this issue the bias is in the eyes of the beholder.

In this article two completely different views are being stated, Bernard Goldberg for yes the media has a liberal bias and Al Franken stating no the American media is anything but liberal. If you think about it you are the one in the end who decides this question. If you are a conservative most likely you will agree with Goldberg, yet if you are liberal you would most likely agree with Franken (considering his whole article is taking a stab at Bush, a conservative).

Yet if we are the ones in the end who decide if the media has a liberal bias according to our OWN thinking how do they possible persuade the conservative? Well some may not be persuaded, but many more will. We have talked about it in class before that if you only watch one news station and nothing else you are only going to be getting that stations bias. It is necessary to watch different stations and read different newspapers to create your own opinions. Because each reporter "will often give you a little editorial just to make sure you know how you're supposed to think about the subject at hand". You can't always believe what you hear or read because "a reporter can find an expert to say anything the reporter wants-ANYTHING!".
