My step-sister, Megan Crowl, is important to me in so many ways. We have been best friend since we were 6 years old. Her father and my mother have been together for about 6 years. Megan is important to me because she looks up to me in every way. Megan has two brothers. Both her brothers have taken the wrong path in life. They both dropped out of high school. The one is in jail and the other is somewhere else. I am the only person Megan can look up to in her family. She is now a junior and is on the honor roll. She has always followed in my footsteps. She has followed me in small and big things, from her favorite color to the course she has chosen to take in life. This is why Megan is an important person to me.

I have worked since I was 13 years old, saved up 95% of my money since then, and bought my own car when I was 14. Its not a new car but it gets me where I need to be. I will be attending Bradley Academy for the visual arts in York, PA in August. Bradley Academy is not a cheap school to go to especially because the Academy I am attending requires a laptop and being in the graphic design field technology has and always will be changing rapidly. Another reason is because my parents are separated and my dad can't help me that much because he has paid child support for 8 years and my mom can't help me out that much either because she works at grocery store. This scholarship would help me out a lot because it will give me a chance to keep some of my money that I have been saving up so I can use it later when I get out in the real world.
