1. Summary

Miracle from Heaven

On a small town in Texas, Mr and Mrs. Beam with her daughters Abegail, Annabel, Adelaine are always attending the mass. Pastor Scott gives a sermon on keeping your faith always. One-night Anna is screaming because of pain that she’s experiencing so they rushed her on the hospital. The doctor of Anna’s said that her intestines are not working and they need to operate now. The operation is successful but they found out a lot worse on her condition, she can’t process food anymore. Anna’s doctor recommend to go to Mexico because they have the best doctor that might help Anna. Christy, the mother started to lose her faith because God does not healed Anna yet. Being a mother, she flew all the way to Boston without an appointment, she beg at the receptionist but the lady said that she can not do anything about it but the receptionist make it happen. Christy finally gets a chance to meet Dr. Nurko. At the Hospital, she meet Haley who is suffering from cancer and she ask about her cross necklace and Anna said that it is a reminder that God is always with her. One-day Anna got so depressed and she wants to die to stop the pain but her dad and sisters came visit her and they returned home altogether. The girls are outside playing, when Abegail and Anna climb on a tree suddenly the branch where they sit began to crack, so Anna went to the other side and she fell on the hole of the tree with 30feet high. The medics pullout anna on the tree and the miracle started to happen. Her incurable disease is now gone and that is all because of God.

1. Theme/ Moral

God gave every one of us difficulties or challenges for us to be stronger and there are times when we want to quit, but then we realize the true miracle of life is all around us. Having faith on him always is one of our weapon to surpass the challenges that may come to our life. Trust his words and trust his time because with God nothing is impossible, the word itself says “I’m possible.”

1. Characterization

In the story of “Miracle from Heaven” The character that I love the most is Kylie Rogers as Annabel Beam, daughter of Jennifer Garner as Christy Beam and Martin Henderson as Kevin Beam, she is a wonderful child, sweet, kind and Godfearing, she loves to climb anywhere so they used to call Anna a monkey but all of that changed when they discovered that Anna has incurable stomach disease. Anna is so strong she did not let her emotion overpowered her, she believed that God is going to heal her, but everyone comes to a point that they want to give up. Anna’s been there, she just wants to die to stop the pain that she’s experiencing but the love of her family and the love of God became her strength and just when it seems that all hope is lost, the miracles happens, restoring everyone's faith and bringing new faith to others.
