ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First of all I would like to pay my sincere gratitude to all staff members of ATI because they give us sound theoretical knowledge about Mechanical Engineering Technology. So it was great help to me to success the my Frist training six months in Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC and NAITA for the help they gave me to find a good training place and being with me throughout the training period.
I also would like to thank management of Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC for selecting me as an industrial trainee as well as providing a good training with lot of facilities. I want to express my heartiest gratitude to Mr. Chaminda Kurukulantha (Manager - IS) ,Mr. Gayan Wijekon(Mechanical Engineer) & all Staff members of the company for guiding me throughout my training period. They gave me great support to improve my theoretical & practical knowledge & also complete my first training six months successfully.
I should specially thank all the Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Management Trainees who helped and guided me throughout my training period at the Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC. It is with my heartiest gratitude that I remember and thank all workers and operators who helped me at the Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC. In addition to that I should thank all my fellow trainees for being with me to share their knowledge with me.
PREFACE
This is the report included my training experiences of 1st six months training period spent at the Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC, Horana as an industrial trainee from 12th of March 2013 to 12th of September 2013.
The main target of industrial training is get practical knowledge about industrial applications that we learn as theory in our academic period & also get a sound knowledge about organization structure, safety, labor lows etc… So I prepared this report according to those requirements.
I prepared this reports to cover four chapters. Chapter one gives a brief description about Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC. Chapter two is description about my training experiences & projects carried out. The final chapter gives the “conclusion”. This includes my personal view about the current industrial training module, my opinions to improving it and a very brief summary of the things learnt from my training.
