UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund/United Nations Children's Fund) was assembled on December 11, 1946. UNICEF is an organization that provides long-term humanitarian and developmental help to kids and mothers in poorer countries. UNICEF counts on governmental contributions and private donors. UNICEF does their best to help community-level support to aid the heath and well-being of children. UNICEF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965 and Prince of Asturias Award in 2006. UNICEF has a "Trick-Or-Treat" program on Halloween. This program is mostly in the United States and Canada. When children go to doors for candy, they can show the UNICEF box and they will try to contribute some money. UNICEF has a lot of major tasks. They try to prevent HIV/AIDS, Child growth and development, and is trying to stop child pornography across the world. UNICEF has over 150 countries and territories in these programs.

UNICEF is a worldwide international organization to help children in five significant areas. These five areas are significant issues in today's world. They include the major issue of child survival, balanced treatment (boys and girls treated equally), child care and others including education for boys and girls. Issue number one is about child survival. This has become a major issue mainly because of the more poor regions of the world like Africa where many people are poor and do not have places to live and can't eat proper food and have good nutrition. UNICEF has contributed greatly to this issue by raising charity foundations to help the children find good homes and lean food and healthy bodies.

Child care is another thing that UNICEF provides. It includes child protection from abusive parents or guardians and includes medicine for immunization and the prevention of HIV and AIDS. Although AIDS and HIV affects children, in Africa more than 15 million children are in orphaned because of their parents dying from AIDS or HIV and over 2.3 million children . Another problem is child pornography. Even today there are many child porn victims out there. So far they are trying to control online and offline
