Mrs. Slusarski

Standing in front of the classroom in her usual place Peg Slusarski starts her class with an interesting story. Stories of course that would capture anyone's attention, such as self-cleaning toilets. Who would come up with such a thing? Peg would just to get someone who's not having such a good day smile a little more.

English class used to be one of those classes where before and after you walked through the door you would moan as if you were going to died on the spot. However, once a student would walk into room 218 it was not as bad as passed years; it was actually fun at times. The little things that seemed to make the class fun and interesting were the laid back attitude and easy communication we students had with Mrs. Slusarski.

With eyes of green and short brown hair and her spunky personality you could spot Mrs. Slusarski from the other side of the building. She always was talking to another teacher or student, and laughing. Mrs. Slusarski would have never talked down to a student or called them stupid; she always tried to lift us up and keep us going. Making us the best we could be. Something she once told a class was "Take new opportunities as an adventure and excel." She also told classes to stop and take time to look at the things around them because there would always be something we had missed the day before.

Mrs. Slusarski, a teacher, role model, advice giver, a friend and most of all someone who cares.
