Music can change the world because it can change people
Music is an important part of our life because it surrounds us everywhere. That is why some people believe it can change the world while others disagree.
In my view, music has the power to influence people and the whole world.
Firstly, music can really change the mood. In wartime, soldiers listened to the military marches to boost morale. Thus, Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich dedicated his Symphony No. 7 to the besieged city of Leningrad. The composition became a symbol of resistance to Nazism and undoubtedly influenced the outcome of the war.
Furthermore, the lyrics of the songs have a positive or negative effect on a person. Some people are concerned that music with violent lyrics may have a negative effect on youth and provoke violent behavior, which may cause the formation of a cruel generation. Many researchers have confirmed this theory.
However, music is just a popular form of entertainment. It can make people sad or happy, but it still cannot make us stop wars or pollution.
Moreover, the music of different eras only reflects the time period. It is meant to be consumed, whether it is by the listener, performer, or composer. It is a way to translate feelings and desires that are sometimes difficult to express using language. So, the playlist of a person is just the background music for life.
To sum up, I’d like to say that music is a powerful tool for influencing people all over the world. Its power spans from entertainment and fun to the ability to heal people or to win a war, and so much more.
