Everyone have someone in their life that they admire. Some people may admire movie stars, famous models, superstar athletes or famous writers. My grandmother, Kate Marie Smith was the person I admired the most and was famous in her own way. She was a loving house wife, very dependable, attentive, and supportive and a woman of God. By her growing up in the south, she was not able to get a high school education. My grandparents, was married for 62 years and together for about 70 years worked hard together and knew enough about life and what it took to survive. My grandma was such an amazing woman to anyone she meet up and would help anyone until the day she passed away on February 23, 2002.
I worship the ground my grandma walked on. I could ALWAYS depend on her for anything for as long as I could remember. My mother, my older brother and I lived with my grandparents until I was about 10 years old. I was really upset when my mother decided to move out because I was a very spoiled child. I remember, whenever I would get sick, she was always there by my side until I got better. My grandma was always there to help anyone no matter what it was and would not complain. Weather, it was to feed or buy clothes for someone, she would do it with a smile on her face and would take anyone in to live with her & my grandfather. She also help raised one of my cousins, whom were just like a sister to my mother; she took care of her father and one of her younger sisters until the day they passed away.
My grandma was very supportive woman. She always showed support for my brothers, my sister & I when we were younger. As we got older she was behind all of us 110 percent no matter what is was we wanted to do and was always at our school and church functions. If she felt anyone of us was doing something wrong, she would preach to us in such a loving way where we dare not do it again. Her love and support made us feel like we were super stars for a long time after whatever it was we did. I also remember the laughs and smiles on her face whenever I was
