My summer break
The day I graduated from Antvorskov School, I had one thing in my mind. Two sweet months, without any work, school or homework.
My family, had no plans about travelling out of the country. But then, a Monday morning, at 9 o’clock my father brought some stunning news to us.
But! Let us scroll 5 days back. I got this call, but it was not just any call, the call was from the “Danish Broadcasting Corporation” and probably like any other person I was surprised, to get this call. Earlier this year, I made a robot arm, to be more specific a “Delta robot arm.”
The purpose with this arm was, to help the disabled ones, with everyday life problems. My solution won a second place at “Young Scientist” the funny thing here was that, the radio heard about my solution, and contacted my teacher, they invited me to give my opinion on how programming and computers was beginning to play a big part of the school. My answer to the invite was a big yes.
Now, back to Monday morning; 9 o’clock my father brought some news, about that he realized that, it was too boring to have a summer break, without travelling out of the country. So he gave us two days to pack a bag, and get ready to take off to Turkey and surprise my grandparents. I was very surprised, because this was the first time in my life, I was going to meet my grandparents.
To be honest, it was a once in a lifetime experience for me. Mostly because I had never seen my grandparents, but just to visit the place where my father grew up, was an adventure itself.
Now, to the last and the biggest highlight of my summer break; We were at the airport, and waiting for the “Please go to gate xx” at the display. The message appeared on the, and we checked in and boarded to the plane, 22a was my seat. Probably the funniest seat to sit in 3 hours. The story behind this was, the man beside me, had at least 9 psychotic problems, with the plane and the flight attendants. It was very encouraging to listen to a mature man, using offensive words about the plane and the flight attendants. Well, mostly because everything was actually perfect. He was just the type of guy that had a problem with everything.
