Aside from Miami, New York would be the place I would choose as my home. I’ve spent the early years of my life there. The busy and upbeat lifestyle of New York gives me a different kind of energy which is absent in Miami. Compare to Miami, the standard of education in New York is higher. The chance of getting a promising career after college is almost certain. New York, also known as world’s capital, is a very unique place for me from various points of view.
When my family decided to move to Miami from New York, it wasn’t a very exciting news for me. It was a life changing event. I left behind my families and close friends. I did not think I would be able to adjust myself with the people in Miami. I thought the sun may shine in Florida twelve months but it will always be dim when it comes to my happiness. The sunbath at the beach is not as exciting as making snowman and throwing snowballs at friends.
New York is different than any other place in this planet. The lifestyle, diversity, and high-rise buildings create the most exciting atmosphere one can imagine. People are busy and working hard to fulfill their dreams. A 30-minutes stay in Manhattan will make you want to make that place your home. Every day thousands of people from around the world are coming into New York. These people bring their culture, food, and custom with them and as I get to see all this, I appreciate living in this great city.
New York is known for its standard of education. Many well known libraries, universities, and research centers are located in New York. A lot of the world’s largest companies have their headquarters there and provide jobs for many college graduate every year. These students are very well prepared for the future while they are still in school. Many of my friends who I still have contact with scored higher on the SAT than the top ten students of my high school graduate class.
